i hate potlucks.

i need to tell you something.  some of you, this might hurt.  others, might agree.  but this i need you to know that...
i hate potlucks.  oh my.  the very word kinda makes me want to hurl.  (maybe a tad to graphic, there jessica.  simmer down.)  i can't believe i can really sit at a computer and write these words, thinking about it.......uh....i'll be right back.  it's just the whole "i wonder who made this?" & "did they lick the spoon as they were cooking it and put it back in the bowl?"  & "is this fully cooked?" & "i wonder if their kitchen is clean?"   maybe i went to one to many potlucks as a child growing up in a church that had potlucks every time the doors were open.
on christmas eve, my family gets together, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors...you get the picture.  we have a potluck.  i eat the sliced tomatoes.
but just because i do not like potlucks, does not mean i do not like...
the melting pot.  oh yes, i do.  it is go-o-od.  and i watch them cook it in front of me, so clearly no issues there.
and then, this here little fella...he probably would not care if he ended up at a potluck or the melting pot...
he would not care who licked the spoon, or if the kitchen was clean or if they even had a kitchen.  he would be happy just to receive the invite.

Oh My! You are not kidding! Potlucks, Add-a-dishes, buffets, they are all the same! YUCK! I just can't help it! YUCK! And did I say YUCK? I gag at the mere thought of eating at these things. I seriously cannot even eat off of a buffet at a restaurant, not because of where the food was cooked or who cooked it, but because of all of those people with their nasty germy hands and their "oh, I missed the sneeze guard" slobberies that have been up there putting food on their plates. Never mind the unsupervised children that have been up there with their boogery hands touch stuff! YUCK! Okay, I went a little overboard, sorry! Yes, I have a problem! :)
