psalm 23

yesterday my dad struggled.  yesterday when my dad woke up he didn't know my mom.  yesterday when i went to visit, i am not quite sure he knew me.  yesterday was a hard day for dad.  it was a sad day.

yesterday when dad did not know mom and was so confused, and not having many rational thoughts...he knew this.  all six verses. and he lay in the bed and said all six verses over and over.

a psalm of david.

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

does that make your eyes water?  mine too.

i think you should count THIS PICTURE as one of your "beauty" pics! that is one of the MOST beautiful things i've ever read! matthew learned this psalm last year in sunday school and IT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING! i'm so sorry you and your family are going through this, but as your dad proved yesterday, even when all else fails, the LORD will NEVER fail you! you are an awesome daughter!
