my boyfriends back in town.

as i was on the treadmill this afternoon at the gym, something caught the corner of my right eye, slowly as i began to turn my head i saw...the pizza sauce all over my right shoulder that lil bit had obviously smeared all over me earlier in the day and i snickered at myself, i looked down to get back on track...(don't want to ride right off the end of that treadmill...) and noticed the peanut butter on the front of my shirt, and i wanted to laugh out loud and hit the OBVIOUS mom next to me and say, "you'd never believe that i wasn't a mom!" and snort and laugh and have a moment...

but then i thought that might be funnier to me than her and i also didn't want to get pizza sauce on her, so i just kept on keeping on...

on the treadmill.

speaking of lil bit and the smearing of food all over the caregiver...

we had a play date yesterday.  and i don't know if you've ever had a "play" date with your one year old but it goes something like this...  if i looked at her little friend for more than 1.1 seconds she would scream "no!" "up!" and he would look at her and she him and then he would start to fuss because she is being a girl and one, so i would pick him up and you can imagine what would happen...that happened every two minutes for two hours.

yes, it was bliss.  thanks for asking.
so we trekked outside to get a break in all eyes being on the girl in charge and it worked...
i even told lil bit that her boyfriend was coming over when i dressed her, notice the lovely attire...and to behave.  finally she just said, "bed, nap, yes..."  "you want to take a nap?"  "yes, beddy." so i took her inside and her boyfriend and i hung out for a while longer until this happened.
so i gave up on play and date and just succumbed to nap and time.  so we had nap time.  lil bit in her bed and her boyfriend on my chest and all was right with the world.  sweet baby faces.

later in the day after her boyfriends mommy came, we went on another adventure, only i wasn't invited.  i noticed, she was eating her goldfish rather quickly...and running away everytime i gave her two or three...after her third trip of running to me and saying "more more" in urgency, i decided to follow her to wherever she was running and this is what i found.
then things spiraled out of control and we headed for a walk...
and all was right with the world.

piggy toes, some water and cheese crackers made a hot summer day seem like spring...add a bunny and bird every now and again - what a good, good day.

Those photos are beyond precious - and I'd always choose a nap over play!
