the other two men in my life.

its seldom when i get time alone with the fellas now.  with their busy social schedules, school and their sister in tow, usually its just she and i or the four of us.  i can't remember the last time i just had them.  it does this nanny's heart good to watch them develop, grow and mature into the big boys that they are becoming.  when we went to the park the other day, the first thing they did was see some letters formed into words on the sign telling all about the park where we had been tens of times before and had they never noticed.

they are readers now, so big and slowly but surely every word on that intro to woodmont park sign was read one by one and soon they knew all about it.  knowledge they soaked up for themselves by themselves.

as much as they may can read, fashion well...i'll let you decide that.  when he saw my hat thrown in the passengers seat it only made sense for him to wear it backwards.  the joys of being six nearly seven is who cares...

this other one knew his brothers hat was on backwards and didn't hesitate to tell him that he looked dumb wearing a girls hat.  his brother didn't care.  i didn't tell him that he might have looked dumb when he hung on his brother like a monkey instead of looking normal when i wanted their picture together.

he didn't look dumb.  i was kidding.  i would never say that, you know that right?  he did look hilarious and mischievous.  which he most certainly is both.  more on the latter.

he also wants to be a breakdancer when he grows up and thinks perhaps that justin beiber might just need a dancer and he will be the hire.  i've told him it looks promising.

his brother on the other hand...

all he wants is to do a handstand.
after a few made up games by the nanny that were "lame" as i was appropriately told.  they were lame. finally i got my creative juices flowing and found some sticks and made an obstacle course.  it was just as "lame" as the other games i created but this one was a gem in their eyes...

so we spent the rest of our times cycling our inner jackie joyner kersee and doing stick hurdles like nobodiez biz-a-nizz.

this nanny rocks.  at least that's what i tell them.
and they believe me.
lame.
