friday, saturday and sunday

equals the weekend, i know i know.  and i would have entitled this post that, which completely makes since, but this weekend, i needed to go into more details.  you can thank me later.  hence friday, saturday and sunday.

let me just go ahead and tell you, it had been a long week already leading up to the weekend.  i caught a bug, got the flu, my allergies flared up, my asthma kicked in, i got a cold and pneumonia (not to be confused with ammonia...which reminds me...)
i dated a guy once, andy, bless his heart. wherever he is today.  he was in army...wait, he deserves a whole blog...he really does.  so on tuesday...he will get his day.
to say the least, i was feeling NOT GOOD for the entire week.  i took off from work tuesday and wednesday even and that is something i just don't do.  if you must know, today was the first day that i have awoken with no snot smeared across my entire face, the entire face.

did you need to know that:  no
honest and visually stimulating:  yes

so making it to friday felt like a feat.  friday started at five in the a.m. for me because the fellas parents were headed out of town.  at eight o'clock, we took off and drove two hours away to meet their grandmother for the weekend.
the herdmans.
then i drove two hours back.  bought some new UT (university of tennessee) attire, showered and packed.  braddstudios picked me up and then we headed to knoxville for the weekend.
pitstop:  cracker barrel
birds on a wire...

saturday we headed to meet up with his friends to tailgate before the big game.
the goodyear blimp joined us for the fun.
can you see the field in his glasses?
we were on row 42, which is my favorite number, which also means we should have won.  i am going to have to talk to my people....because a W - we did not achieve.  next year.

after all the fun and UTness we headed home to get to the main event (LOST).  don't tell anyone that i admitted or referred to the main event being LOST.  please?  i will loose all the coolness i ever had.

was i ever cool?

i was country when country wasn't cool.

sunday we were bright eyes and busy bushy tailed.  don't forget, i am still waking up with the snot across my entire face. (i begin to embrace it and think of it as a mask...like an exfoliating mask.  like i was getting prettier in my sleep...i don't think it worked.)  braddstudios wanted to show me some of his old stomping grounds and some of his favorites, so we headed to stefanos chicago style pizza - one of his favs growing up.  it was delicious, we chose our pizza with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms and olives, if you must know.  it was A+.  (although i kept wanting to call it stephanos, like the bad dude on days of our lives.  days of our lives which i have not followed or seen in about ten years, he obviously left an impression.)

sometimes i wonder about this brain of mine.

then we headed to the worlds fair park.  and went up in the sunsphere.
then we headed to mckays.  the biggest one ever, it was two stories.  if you don't know what mckays is...you are missing out.  if you love books, music and movies...well, it might be your favorite place on earth.
rows and rows of books...heaven.
as soon as i finish writing this blog i have to call my mother.
she collects little golden books and she would have died in the isle
when she saw these just waiting to be bought.

then we headed to putt-putt for a hot game of golf to which i was going to come out victorious.  yeah, not so much.  good thing, they had the mrs. pacman game as well...she always makes me feel like a winner.

i wrastled with him for one game, then i went back to the mrs.  she is much kinder to me.  he body slammed me, pulled my hair and choked me...and that was in the first 10 seconds.  i.  will.  never.  play.  with.  him.  again.  he did buy me ice cream before we left, so maybe, just maybe...next time.

all good things must come to an end, so we packed our bags and headed to meet up with the kiddos grandmother to get the chil'hen and take them and us home.

proof we made it home all in one piece.

since i will be here until wednesday, out day started of bright and early.  one for the little fellas told me he was hungry.  i asked him what he would like...waffles or a sausage biscuit?  he looked at me perplexed.  i said again, "waffle or sausage biscuit, pick one."  he said, "one."

it's gonna be a long three days at this rate.

tuesday:  andy, my boyfriend.  don't forget.  i know you are thrilled.

Good point, though sometimes it's hard to arrive to definite conclusions
