update on dad.

so if you follow any of my feeds, facebook, twitter, instagram, ipiccy, flickr, pinterest, myspace, etc... you know dad fell again.  this time he cut his upper eyelid and broke his left hip.  he had surgery monday and did well.  he was eating well last night and ate good today as well and was even able to transfer to a chair today.  so all things considered...he is doing okay.  he is more pain than he, we, would like, but hopefully that will be managed better soon.  my parents are not complainers and sometimes i wish the were, especially when they are in the hospital!

it's going to be a loooong road back to "normal" whatever that is there days for dad, but right now taking it one day at a time yet making plans for the future is all that you can do.

and pray.  well, especially pray.

when i told lil bit that dad was sick and in the hospital, without missing a beat she said, "i want to go see woy [roy] and take hims som candy and eat it wis him.  he is always da best."

and as i wiped her bottom, i had tears in my eyes.  

so i had to get a little more toliet paper for my eyes.  

we always have our best conversations while she is going potty.
