update :: newtown bracelets (and kind people)

when this girl gives a call for help, you people answer.  wow, thanks.  what a platform i have; and my job to use it to the best of my abilities.

thank you for listening to my idea and running with it.  in less than 24 hours after i posted the blog about the prayer bracelets, i couldn't keep up with my email fast enough.  such a simple little thing, but together we are going to be able to help that city; monetarily and with our prayers.  i am so thankful.

more bracelets are in the works and i will make them as long as there are orders and interest.  i would love to send money weekly, monthly, as often as possible as long as needed and bracelets are being made and shipped.

thank you.  thank you for being interested.
thank you for wanting to help.
thank you for making my thumbs sore from all these bracelets.
i am thankful.
and i am wearing my bracelet tonight as i type.  actually, i haven't taken it off.

tonight on the news, brian williams said, "there's no shortage of nice people in this world, we just have to keep telling their stories."

speaking of nice people:
today was a personally hard day, i have been going through some yuck lately and today it all came to a head.  in the midst of my hurt and bad day, i received an unexpected gift from two friends.  undeserved and overwhelmingly kind gifts, no reasons, just because.

like brian willams said, "there's no shortage of nice poepl in this world, we just have to keep telling their stories."

i'm holding tight to that tonight.  and yes, that quote was good enough to type twice.

p.s.  good thing i have the craftiest and sweetest mother in law ever, because looks like we have bracelets to make over christmas!  thank you.

if you missed the last post about getting a bracelet, you can read it here.
if ya don't want to read that post but want to know more, well, here ya go.

thanks for making a difference.
and hug those babies just a little tighter tonight before they go to sleep.

and don't forget to spread the good stories, the stories of love, of hope, of joy...they are out there.  you don't have to look to hard to find them.

and smile at a stranger.
you might save a life.
