i am so sorry that i forgot to tell you about one of the most nearly tragic occurrences that happened while brad and i were honeymooning in maui.
we happened upon dharmaville and this happened. if you watch LOST, and are a fan, you are very concerned. you are concerned for two reasons.
1. we are IN dharmaville and YOU thought we were on our honeymoon.
2. you thought LOST was just a show.
brad fought long and brad fought hard and he was able to withstand the throws of the smoke monster. i didn't just marry anyone folks. i married a man who looked the smoke monster dead in the eyes and won.
and he is here to tell about it.
brad...brad...hey brad...brad...

here we go!
just incase you are reading this blog for the first time or the hundredth...i just got married.
uh huh, i did.
my groom and his new shirt, he bought it because i like pink on guys...and i happen to think he is pretty darn hot in his new pink shirt.
this is the view from our room, not too shabby, huh?
and this is brad getting me a coconut. he took off his pink shirt, to show off his abs.
and that's a lie, that is a native fella showing off his mad skills...
buuuuutttt...brad could SOOOOOOOO do this.
and perhaps we ran into a little trouble while we were there. soooo, we got a little off the beaten path. reaaaaallly off the beaten path. dharma is OFF the beaten path. i would tell you what happened, but then benjamin linus...might...ugh.........
well, nevermind.
and after we got married, we went to hawaii... uh huh, we did!
and here's the proof!

so after a week of honeymooning, and two weeks of work and opening every present in tennessee, and having enough trash wrapping paper and boxes to build a forest...we are slowing returning the duplicates and getting settled into our home. last weekend, a washer and dryer were added to the laundry room and might i say, they look pretty good in there!
so between the loads of clothes and decorating and writing thank you notes...we are getting our life back. our life TOGETHER back. things are calming down...and we are thrilled.
what a whirlwind this past month has been!
we are so excited to begin this journey of our life together...i can hardly wait for what the future holds.
my name is jessica and i watch LOST.
as if.
as if i didn't already have enough going through my head all day, now i have added LOST to my inner thoughts and worries.
yes, LOST, the television show.
i was fine. for the six years it was on...never saw an episode. never. and i was okay. the words hatch, locke, others, island didn't ring a bell with me. sure, i had seen the previews forever ago and knew that it was the IT show to watch and that everybody was doing it. but i resisted. which is weird, because if it's popular and on tv, i am usually on board.
i would like to take this opportunity to take up for myself. i was raised without a television. my parents got rid of the tv when i was five, right in the midst of my love for all things big bird, they up and just...no more. and i was fine, and became an avid reader and when i was at home spent a lot of quality time with my parents, talking to them and being with them. then i turned eighteen and moved out. my first big purchase was a television, the biggest one i could afford. and i have been catching up ever sense. i even have DVR now...watch out!
please feel sorry for me.
i resisted LOST. i didn't really resist even. i was busy. busy seeing how the offspring of john and kate were turning out, busy watching taye diggs on tuesday be the best doctor ever (my friend alison would refer to him as sweet chocolate. i would agree) and most importantly keeping up the the real housewives of new york. i had no more time in my reputare to even thing about adding more stress to my daily life.
then i met you know who. you know. (and might i just add here, that i asked him to watch ONE...ONE episode of 'bethenny getting married' with me and it might as well have ben tylenol pm. someone is the sucker in this relationship. i'll let you guess who.)
and he forced me to watch the entire twin peaks series if i was to remain in his company. so i did. lucy and i are friends now. but my heart is with nadine, i love that patch wearing girl. (you have no idea what i am talking about and it is okay...)
that was then. (last year)
this is now.
he went on vacation with his family. and his little brother forced him to watch LOST. he resisted at first, but by months end, he had wrapped the whole series. all six of them. needless to say, i didn't see him or talk to him much that month. because i still. resisted. no time for LOST. no time, i tell ya.
.........................
ahhhhhhhh, season two is about to kill me. we are on episode twenty or so...locke has hair in his flash backs and he just smashed his leg in the hatch when the walls came tumbling down. good thing he had let henry out...(henry, is that yo' name?) because what would have happened when the alarm started sounding and no one was there to push
4 8 15 16 23 42
yeah, that would have been stressful, glad i didn't have to see that. shew. and just where is jack when you need him?
good thing the real housewives of new york are on a hiatus, and kate and john...well...
what can i say, i feel no guilt. i had the time, i had nothing but time. and i was brainwashed into thinking it was what i neeeeeeeded to do. really, i was...or is that just the show making me think that...
what's my name? where am i? who am i?
my mind is full.
there is so much on my mind, yet nothing at all. (i really just like typing the word 'yet' it makes me feel intellectual. i have a hard time spelling intellectual though, so what does that mean?)
my baby nephew ethan graduates from high school on friday which make me feel cranky. because it makes me feel old. and then it also makes me feel sorry. sorry that i cried for three days after he was born because he was a boy. i just wanted hair to braid. and i have failed at convincing him to let his locks grow ling long so i can braid them. he graduates from high school on friday! where did the time go? he has his entire life ahead of him and has no clue. he would disagree with me, as did i disagree with all the kind folks that told me that as well upon my graduation. he has so much life to live and i can't wait to watch and cheer him on with his many life decisions, good and bad. well, maybe i won't cheer quite as loud for the bad decisions...
i stayed the weekend at the little fellas and their sister. we had swimming and soccer and plenty of wii to go around. they are tired, i am tired but we still love each other, so all in all it was a success. maybe not so much for their dog, who kept me up all night last night with his arthritis. bless him. bless me. three kids sleep well and then the dog keeps you up. ain't life grand?
tonight is the LOST finale. i will not be watching with the rest of the universe. no offense ABC, no offense smoke monster. i just had six seasons previous to watch so i will not be at your going away PARTAY tonight. for that, i am sorry. i am sure you will air just fine without me.
tomorrow though, to fuel the addiction, the bachelorette starts again. and like i needed to add one more thing to my nightly schedule, i will watch alli find love. and pray along the way that she gets a stylist for her hair because her hair puts me on edge. she is cute as a button, yet (there's that word again) her hair is always a hot mess. and i can appreciate the hot mess look because i usually represent it well. BUT i am not on tv vying for the love of twenty five males, if i was my hair would look good. (and i would have lots of eyeliner on at all times...LOTS.)
see there, that is a lot on one girls mind.
and then there are the bills to pay, house to clean and groceries to buy...and alicia's pictures that are almost ready to be mailed...
